Today the ASD staff had a chance to visit our new building while construction is going on. We are standing in what will be the outside of the lobby space. Construction has been going on for over a month. It is amazing what they have done. We were able to see the sanctuary space, the children’s rooms, the community space, the office space, and the “front porch” feel of the entrance to the building. We are so grateful to God and to you for making this possible that we can own our own building and see it being built out.
Remember, over and above your biblical tithe (10%) to ASD and above your Crossroads commitment, we are asking for a short term commitment of $300,000 that will give us what we initially designed but had to cut because of rising costs that were out of our control. This additional amount will help us with worship space, children’s ministry (such as playground for the older elementary kids), and community fellowship space and furniture. We are calling this the PILLARS campaign as it represents a completion of the 3 pillars of design: worship, children, and community/fellowship spaces. It will conclude November 11th. $132,000 of that has been committed or given so far. If you would like to give to PILLARS online, click here. You can also give by cash or check on Sunday by writing PILLARS on the “other” line (NOT the Crossroads line) of the offering envelope.
Finally, don’t forget that all of you are invited to a “town hall” meeting at our new First Fruits time at 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 4th to hear more about the building and a time of Q and A along with worship and prayer. There will be childcare onsite for 0-4 years old.
