We believe that God loves and desires the worship of children, that children are an essential part of our church family, and that God is at work in and through each child in our midst on Sundays. Children are welcome to worship at All Saints Dallas, and we know they bring extra wiggles and noise!

What to Expect:
We provide care throughout both services for children ages 0-4 in age-specific classrooms. Children ages 2, 3, and 4 participate in a short lesson. Many families choose to pick up their children for the Eucharist portion of the service which we think is wonderful! Young children are also welcome to stay with their parents. A quiet nursing mothers area is available in the sacristy through the door at the northwest corner of the Sanctuary.
Children in PreK through 5th grade join the rest of our church family for worship and prayer at the beginning of our service. They are dismissed before the Scripture readings and sermon for an age-appropriate lesson and return to their families in time to participate in Holy Communion.
Before the service, we ask each family with children who plan to attend either childcare of the elementary lessons to check-in on the iPads outside the children’s classrooms. This is a safety measure and helps us track attendance. New or visiting families will be provided a registration card to fill-out in lieu of electronic check-in.
All Saints Dallas staff, paid childcare workers, and ASD Children’s Ministry volunteers are background-checked, screened, and trained in Ministry Safe Abuse Awareness. We take children’s safety seriously and would be happy to walk you through our safeguards.
While masks are voluntary at ASD, our paid nursery and preschool childcare workers will continue to wear masks for the foreseeable future.

Children learn by participating! Faith formation begins as children join their parents in worship and as they watch the Gospel communicated every week through the Eucharist.

Our Approach

We take seriously Jesus' admonition that the kingdom belongs to those that are like little children (Matt 19:14, Mark 10:14, Luke 18:16). Children's participation in the service is a reminder to them, and to all of us, that children are equal members of the Kingdom of God.

Childcare is available during the service for ages 0-4. You may bring your child 15 minutes prior to or during the service. If you desire, you can pick them up to join you for Communion.

School aged children who accompany their parents for the service will be dismissed after the Collect for their own developmentally appropriate curriculum and then return during The Peace in time to participate in Holy Communion with their family.
