The Song of Moses

Hey All Saints Family, Ryan Flanigan here. I wanted to share with you a brand new musical setting of “The Song of Moses” which I recently composed for my family to sing. You can find the words on page 85 in your Book of Common Prayer (1979). It is Canticle 8 and is “Especially suitable for use in Easter Season.” Click here to view the words online:
If you have been following along in the Daily Office Lectionary (p. 933), you will know that we just finished reading through the Book of Exodus. Conveniently, the Song of Moses (found in Exodus 15), is part of Morning Prayer II. Perhaps also conveniently, we have been afforded an unusual amount of time to devote to prayer as a family.
I hope you will find this song both a blessing and useful. I miss you all and look forward to the day we can worship together again in person. Until then, trust in the Lord who is a mighty warrior. Yahweh is his Name.
